Next there is the Buyer keen to get a bargain at your expense. Then there are the Sea Trial and Survey Inspection which generally bring to light a number of defects for which the Buyer wants a further discount on your already rock bottom agreed contract price. As a result, the deal is most likely to stall, adding further anxiety to your life.

The SBS Proposal On receiving your telephone call, our Sales Manager Pennie Stephenson will arrange a suitable time to discuss your requirements, marketing strategy and all necessary documentation relating to the sale of the vessel. It is preferable for this to be done during the initial inspection of the vessel. If you exclusively list your vessel with SBS for a period of 90 days… Your vessel will be appraised and you will receive a written report by SBS partner Don Lees, an SSSA accredited Marine Surveyor. Any visual defects found or suggestions to enhance the sale will be discussed for your consideration. It is important to rectify or declare defect items as it is most probable these will be found when the vessel is again inspected by the intending Buyer's Surveyor. During the exclusive listing period your vessel will be displayed showing internal and external photos on the SBS web site and YachtHub.com, as well as a single photo displayed on Boatpoint.com. Every month of the listing term you will receive a monthly activity statement on enquiry information followed by Broker / Client discussions to enable adjustment in advertising material and listing price.

Vessel Management Service*
During the listing period it is important to keep your vessel maintained. Items such as engines, ancillary equipment, refrigeration and instrumentation require regular running. SBS offer the services and expertise of Professional Yachtsman and SBS partner Tom Stephenson. Tom has designed a 40 point check list for just this purpose, or if required, we will individually prepare a program to suit you and your vessel.
